13 Reasons Why Season 2 is in the can, and there's no denying that it was a major misstep for the series.
With meandering storylines that served very little purpose to the overall arc, it was a hot mess.
Check out our report card for 13 Reasons Why Season 2 below!
1. Best Character

He made a lot of mistakes, for sure, and that's why he ran away. He did the only thing he could do to cope, and it turned out that he was reliant on drugs, much like his mother.
All he wanted was to be a part of a family that cared for him, and it looks like he's going to get that living with the Jensens. Whether they will successfully help him get off the drugs before he winds up dead is another story.
2. Worst Character

He is the most despicable human being on all of TV. From his horrific actions, to his contradictory ways, he proved on 13 Reasons Why Season 2 that there was absolutely no redeeming himself.
Having him avoid a prison sentence was difficult to watch, but it was more about sending the message that money is influence, and that's why Justin was sent away for months instead.
3. Best Acting

Her performance was simply outstanding and worthy of any acting category the show is nominated in.
4. Most Beautiful Goodbye

With the case over, Hannah's parents decided to have a funeral for their daughter. This scene proved that Clay was holding on to Hannah as a coping mechanism, but he felt that he had done enough to let her leave his mind and cross over to the next part of her journey.
The directing was on point, and it felt like the pair were genuinely getting further and further away from each other.
5. Best Throwback

With Hannah gone, and the song playing again, it perfectly showed off how far these teenagers have come. Clay needed support and everyone rallied around him.
It was a beautiful moment that proved that these teenagers have been bonded for life, despite being caught up in a horrifying chain of events.
6. Saddest Development

Finding this out was heartbreaking because it proved that a whole lot more thought than we first anticipated went into Hannah's decision to commit suicide.
Finding out that he was two of the reasons for Hannah not to kill herself proved to be a big moment for Clay.
